A brief synopsis
I am based in the Storrington area of West Sussex.
- Fully qualified and experienced teacher and tutor
- Worked for 15 years plus in Primary education both State and Independent sectors
- 20 years plus experience in home tutoring pupils of all levels and abilities in Maths and English from reception to year 7
- Worked as a tutor in the Adult learning sector running courses to help parents understand the ‘ever changing’ primary curriculum and also courses to help develop methods to encourage reading, literacy and numeracy in a home setting
- Worked with homeschoolers, creating and delivering dedicated programmes of work to the parents’ specifications
- Professional, enthusiastic, organised and above all personable and friendly
- I have an enhanced DBS certificate

“I believe that successful home tuition is all about the relationships you build both with the pupil and their parents/caregivers.”
“Tuition is based on a trusting relationship between the pupil and the teacher. It is about getting to know the strengths and weaknesses of your pupil and planning learning to meet those needs. It is very important that pupils experience success in their learning – children flourish with praise – and also have the opportunity to ‘go wrong’ in a safe environment.”
